As co-chairs of the Northwestern University Colloquium on Ethnicity & Diaspora, Phonshia and I (James) wish you a warm welcome to a new academic year! Since this is the first, we thought it would be appropriate to give a quick run-down of the events CED is planning for the 2010-2011 school year. We have an exciting line-up this year and hope to see you at each event! Please check this blog frequently for the latest event information as the year continues.
CED welcomes graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, staff, and community members interested in interrogating issues of race, ethnicity, diaspora, (im)migration, and ethnic studies (African and African American studies, Asian and Asian American studies, Latin American and Caribbean and Latina/o studies, Native American/indigenous studies) to all our events. CED provides the intellectual space for cross-discipline dialogue. For more information on the CED, please see "About CED" on the right side of this page.
CED events are FREE and open to the public thanks to the financial support from the Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities, Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences, The Graduate School, Program in Latin American and Caribbean Studies, Department of African American Studies, Program in Asian American Studies, Chabaraja Center for Historical Studies, and Department of History.
